Quinninup Market Day
Due to COVID 19 restrictions there was not a Market Day in 2020. Planning is in progress for 2021.
The Annual Quinninup Market Day was begun in 2001. It has evolved over the years to become an annual event on the local calendar.
Over the years the focus has been on providing free activities for children on the second Sunday of the third term school holidays. There are many local and visiting children in the area during this time and providing activities that are of no cost them, is our aim.
Money we raise from market stalls and food outlets, goes towards the upkeep and maintenance of the buildings in our care and of the walktrails in the area. The organisation and promotion of this event depends upon and involves volunteers both prior to and on the market day itself.
Our Market Day is only made possible through the support of grants and we have been very fortunate with Lotterywest and Healthways who are two of our most generous donors. Furthermore, Bannister Downs, Woolworths, Coles and Mount Barker Chickens have been staunch supporters as also the Cherry Box and Jackson's Food supplies not forgetting our shire of Manjimup.
The 2021 Market Day is planned for the school holiday period in October 2021. More information will be published as it becomes available.
